Regional- or whole lung exposures of humans
(Under development)

Using this module the PreciseInhale™System can be used to dose humans in early clinical trials with the same respirable aerosol as in any of the preclinical models.

Human subjects are exposed through a mouthpiece to either a whole lung exposure or regional exposure using a bolus breath-holding technique. The system can be used for either first-in-man exposures or later in formulation optimization before choosing the most appropriate clinical inhaler.

Key feature/advantages:

  • Human subjects exposed to the same respirable aerosols as in any of the preclinical models.
  • Precise and active dosing system.
  • Either whole lung exposures or regional exposures using bolus breath-holding techniques.
